JEAN PAUL GAULTIER
Cotton Mix Laser Cut Ensemble (terracotta)
Technological developments and new materials were often at the forefront of Gaultier’s mind and artistic process. He loved taking traditional shapes and twisting them to create new meanings. This sexy, laser-cut gilet comes with its own matching skirt, both adorned with thin and playful fringing. Religious attire is something that always fascinated the French designer, and little Madonna jewels embellish this surprisingly daring ensemble, clearly not for the faint-hearted.
Look 16 from the JEAN PAUL GAULTIER runway spring/summer 2003, ready-to-wear seen on model Mariacarla Boscono. Madonna jewels seen on Look 14, model Suzanne Von Aichinger (MARILYN)
