In his 1990s collections, John Galliano frequently used print to spice up his more casual pieces, coming up with esoteric and symbolic schemes. This colorful hand resting on a printed top evokes Indian traditions, as well as biblical motifs. Throughout his work, the British designer loved mixing-up various folklore motifs and ancient traditions, like a DJ sampling different kinds of music until he finds a brand new sound.
