YVES SAINT LAURENT RIVE GAUCHE BY TOM FORD
Silk/Rayon Skirt with Pocket Detailing (red)
Straight skirts are a Saint Laurent staple and they were famously worn with broad shouldered blazers or pussy-bow blouses from the late 1970s to the early 1990s. This unusual red skirt plays with the menswear idea and also hints at sartorial deconstruction with its placket pockets and stitched detailing. The bright red shade is pure YSL seduction, adding sex-appeal to this naughty inside-out look.
This is a version of skirt Look 16 as seen on the runway spring/summer 2002, ready-to-wear, model Liisa Winkler
